They have experienced substantial growth over the past decade, and are continually investing in facilities and programs to enhance the quality of life for all residents, including the elderly and those in need.

The median sale price for homes in Broadview Heights is in the $210-220,000 range, and the cost of living is approximately 6.9% above the national average.  There is a good mix of newer, as well as older, single family homes and many condos and townhomes to buy or rent.

Students attend one of two school districts.  The north half of the city attends Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District (shared with its neighboring city, Brecksville) and the south half of the city attends North Royalton School District (shared with neighbor North Royalton). Each school district has three elementary schools, a junior high school, and a high school, and the Brecksville-Broadview Heights system also has an intermediate school.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School has consistently been ranked by U.S. News & World Report magazine as being in the top 5 percent of all high schools in the United States. Additionally, the High School was recognized in Newsweek magazine's 2013 list of the top 2000 public high schools in the United States.

In 2015, Broadview Heights was named Ohio's second safest city in its population size category. The study conducted by ValuePenguin focused on recent FBI statistics.
